Terms of Service
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Said It Couldn't Be Done (saiditcouldntbedone.com) is operated by Tmaker SAS. By using the site, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English.
The service
Said It Couldn't Be Done is a free, read-only archive of dismissive early comments on now-successful indie products, paired with the outcomes that proved each take wrong. Features include: a receipt archive, a quiz, pattern exploration, and an AI chat to explore the data. No account is required to use any feature.
Acceptable use
Use the site however you like, with a few ground rules:
- Don't abuse rate limits – the AI chat has per-request limits. Automated scripts, bots, or attempts to bypass these limits will get your IP blocked.
- Don't scrape or redistribute – you may not bulk-scrape the site, our APIs, or the receipt database for use in competing products.
- Don't misrepresent – don't claim Said It Couldn't Be Done is your product, or use our brand in a way that implies endorsement.
The receipt archive
The receipts displayed on this site are curated excerpts of public comments from platforms like Hacker News, Product Hunt, Reddit, and X/Twitter. A few things to keep in mind:
- Receipts are sourced from publicly available posts and are used for commentary, criticism, and historical record — consistent with fair use principles.
- Revenue figures, valuation estimates, and outcome data are sourced from public reports, interviews, and announcements. We do not guarantee real-time accuracy.
- If you authored a quoted comment and want it removed, contact us and we'll review your request.
AI chat
- No guarantees – AI responses are generated from the receipt archive and may contain errors. Do not rely on AI responses for financial or business decisions.
- No storage – we do not store your chat history. Each session starts fresh.
- Rate limits apply – the chat feature is subject to usage limits to keep it free for everyone.
Free tool, provided as-is
Said It Couldn't Be Done is free. We work hard to keep it running and useful, but:
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We'll try to give notice, but can't always guarantee it.
- We're not liable for decisions you make based on the archive data or AI outputs.
Intellectual property
- The Said It Couldn't Be Done name, design, curation methodology, and code belong to Tmaker SAS.
- Individual quotes in the archive belong to their original authors. Our use is editorial — criticism and historical commentary — not commercial reproduction.
- You may share individual receipts with attribution to saiditcouldntbedone.com.
Termination
You can stop using the site at any time — no account to delete. We reserve the right to block IPs that violate these terms, particularly around rate limit abuse and scraping.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Said It Couldn't Be Done after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
